SHOULD AND CAN

Should for give suggestion or advice 

example :

1. You are supposed to come on time
2. You aren’t expected to talk to friends when the lecture is teaching
3. You are supposed  to read  book for the exam tomorrow
4.  You aren' t expected to read comic’s in the library
5.  You are supposed  to  buy  ticket  early if  you don’t want to queue
6. You aren’t expected to sit on the tram if   other  passengers  who are pregnant  standing
7. You are supposed  to be friendly to the waiter
8. You aren’t expected to blame the food in this restaurant
9. You are supposed to come early if you don’t want to be late in the class
10. You aren’t expected to homework in  the class

Can be used to express ability or to request permission

example :

1. You aren’t allowed to smoke here in the class
2. We are allowed  to borrow book in here. (library)
3. You aren't allowed to eat in the library
4. You are allowed to enjoy the trip quickly on the tram
5. You are aren’t allowed to ride the tram if you don’t buy a ticket
6. You are allowed to request your order
7. You aren’t allowed to go before paying this food
8. You are allowed to ask if you don’t understand the teacher
9. You aren’t allowed to leave the classroom without permission

DIFFERENCES IN THE USE OF ANOTHER, OTHER, THE OTHER, AND OTHERS

Another : that is a reference to an additional (satu tambahan lagi)

 Example:

  *      I drank a glass of mango juice and I want to another one

  *      I ate a watermelon and I want to another one

  *     may I borrow your pen? another one there?

Other : refers to something different from those already mentioned (sesuatu yang berbeda dari yang sudah disebutkan)

 Example:

  *    I would like to borrow other this pen

    *    I want to borrow a book other than the book

The Other : all that is left of the already mentioned (semua yang tersisa dari yang sudah disebutkan)

 Example :

  *      I do not want this ruler. I want the other ruler

   *      I have two glasess. One is pink and the other is black

   *     One of my sister is a doctor and the other is student

Others : refers to another object, so no need to repeat said object and its size more (tidak perlu mengulangi kata yang sudah disebutkan dikalimat pertama, sehingga biasanya kalimat yang menggunakan kata others itu seperti kata pengganti dan ukurannya lebih banyak atau yang bisa dihitung)

 Example:

    *       Those animals is elephants, others is animals are giraffe

    *         I get a value of 100 and the others get value 85

The Noun Phrase

Phrase : is a group of words that ends with a noun
Example :  a book, an english book, a pen, a chair, an umbrella and others.

 *  Count Noun/ Countable Noun (benda yang bisa dihitung)

      Example : Table, spoon, knife, eraser, marker and others.

 *   Noun Count Noun/ Acountable Noun (benda yang tidak bisa dihitung)

  Example :
   1.    Milk       : a milk , two milk  (a cup of milk)
   2.    Sugar     : a sugar, two sugar, three sugar   (a spoon of sugar)
   3.    Money    : a money, two money  (two thousand dollars)
   4.    Bread     : a bread, two bread  (a big slice of bread)

In the word, the use of A, AN and THEN is  ...
A and An can only be followed by singular nouns (singular), but never directly followed by uncountable nouns.  A and An are used to express a singular noun in general and A and An are used to refer to a singular noun that has never been mentioned before.

 Ø  An   : is used before with a vowel or sound ( a, i, u, e and o)

          Example : an umbrella, an apple, an egg, an artist

         Ø  A    :  is used before words that begin with consonant (sound)

          Exampel : a book, a chair, a building, a fox, a bear, a newspaper, a lady, a leaf, a footballs, a ruler, a bike and others.

         Ø  The : The generally used to refer to a noun that has been mentioned previously. Given the, noun is meant to be more specific. Noun can be countable, can also uncountable noun. If countable noun, the noun can be singular, it could be plural.

TUGAS 4

PILIHAN PRESIDEN

       Beberapa hari kedepan sampai tiba waktunya yaitu tanggal 9 juli, masyarakat sedang menilai keunggulan-keunggulan kedua calon presiden tahun ini. Mana yang pantas untuk jadi pemimpin bagi negara ini untuk 5 tahun kedepan setidaknya yang dapat merubah indonesia ke arah yang lebih baik dengan memiliki masyarakat yang sejahtera. Pilihan ini tergantung dari hak suara rakyat. Karena rakyat lah yang memilih.

       Tetapi, lain hal nya dengan rakyat yang tidak ingin tahu, merasa tidak peduli, segan dengan hal ini, karena mungkin pada biasanya hanya mengungkapkan janji semata tanpa pernah menepatinya atau banyak issu issu yang saat ini beredar mengenai keburukan keduanya, sementara kelebihannya jarang disebutkan. Loh kok jadi begini? Setiap manusia pasti punya kekurangannya masing-masing yang seharusnya tidaklah menjadi pembicaraan yang begitu ricuh terdengar saat ini. Pada akhirnya rakyat pun memilih untuk tidak memilih atau biasa kita sebut dengan “Golput”. Hal ini sebenarnya tidak baik karena setiap warga negara yang baik akan mematuhi peraturannya untuk ikut berpartisipasi dalam pemilihan presiden tahun ini.

     Jangan hanya menjadi penonton yang hanya menerima nasib tanpa berusaha dalam mengubah nasib. Siapa tau jika kita ikut memilih alhamdulilah presiden yang kita pilih sesuai hati kita akan merubah nasib rakyat indonesia. Sebenarnya golput juga mengakibatkan hak suara yang sudah kita dapatkan yang sudah menjadi hak kita akan jatuh ketangan orang-orang yang tidak bertanggung jawab, hak suara kita dibeli begitu saja. Tanpa kita tau bahwa hak suara itu penting bagi pemilihan calon presiden ini. Janganlah hanya jadi orang awam karena setidaknya kita harus berfikir logis, matang dan kritis semakin hari, janganlah kita hanya jadi boneka, hanya jadi yang ikut-ikut saja tanpa mengerti keadaannya negara kita saat ini.

       Masih banyak yang harus dirubah, memang yang hanya bisa merubah hanya pemimpin saat ini, percayakan semuanya kepada pemipin pilihan kita masing-masing. Dan dengan adanya blog ini ayooo sempatkan waktu kita untuk datang dalam berpartisipasi untuk pemilu nanti tgl 9 juli. Semoga semuanya lancar tanpa adanya kecurangan dan pemimpin yang diberi mandat oleh rakyat dapat merubah indonesia kearah yang lebih sukses lagi dan dapat mampu bersaing dengan negara lain khususnya dalam menghadapai masuknya perdagangan bebas ASEAN 2015 nanti.
